Cambridge Police responded to a business in a Fresh Pond shopping area for a report of a male inappropriately touching customers. Upon further investigation, Adam Gray, 37, 194 Morrison Avenue in Somerville, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct after he began causing a scene in a residential area using foul language causing pedestrians, including children, to cross the street and the free flow of traffic to come to a halt due to his outburst. Gray also lunged at three officers when questioned about the incident.

A resident of Dorchester was summonsed to Cambridge District Court for operating a motor vehicle with no insurance on a public way.

ASSAULT TO MURDER, ARMED C265 S18

HARVARD ST
Cambridge Police arrested Roger Kay, 45, 125 Harvard Street in Cambridge, for a charge of Armed Assault to Murder and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. Cambridge Police also summonsed a Cambridge resident for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. Police were called to the area of Harvard Street for a report of two people fighting with a machete and a bat. Upon arrival, Police located numerous droplets of blood and a sheath on the sidewalk. A witness stated that she observed a man who was summonsed strike Kay with a bat, and then Kay retaliated by swinging a machete at the other man, who informed officers that Kay and he argued prior to the assault. Once outside, Kay approached him with a machete and started swinging. The other man stated that he deflected the blows with a field hockey stick, but was struck in the hand by the machete. Kay informed officers that the other man struck him in the head with a hockey stick after an argument. The other man suffered a cut to his finger and Kay suffered a cut to his hand in the incident. Officers discovered brass knuckles and a spring assisted knife on Kay. The machete used in the assault was also located and taken into evidence.
