HARVARD ST
Officers received a call for a report of a stolen bicycle. A resident of Harvard Street stated that he locked his bike on his front porch at approximately 8:30 p.m. and when he woke up at approximately 6:30 a.m. the bike was gone.

SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE / EOD INVESTIGATION

AMES ST
The Cambridge Police EOD/K9 Unit responded to Ames and Main Street for a used commercial smoke grenade that was on the street. The EOD Unit took possession of the device and placed it in storage for destruction at a later time. There was no suspicious activity involving the device and it posed no threat.

Officers took a report over the phone for a report of malicious destruction of property. A building facilities manager of Binney Street reported that two tables and four benches that belonged to a restaurant had been smashed and damaged beyond repair.

A Cambridge resident came to the police station to report that he mailed two bills containing checks back in June. Both bills were stolen from the mailbox, altered and three checks were cashed altogether.
