RECKLESS OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLE C90 S24

BROOKLINE ST
Cambridge Police performed a motor vehicle stop on Massachusetts Ave in Central Square. It was determined that the moped was unregistered and Raul Cocar, 42, 14 Bancroft Street in Wakefield, was operating with an expired Massachusetts Driver’s License. Cocar then failed to stop for police and fled on the moped on Massachusetts Avenue towards Boston. A short time later, Cocar crashed his moped on a restricted way. As a result, Cocar will be charged with Failure to Stop for Police, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and multiple moped violations.
