A Cambridge resident reported that an Amazon package with merchandise inside was stolen from an unlocked hallway in a condo building in Central Square.

A Cambridge resident called CPD Teleserve to report a past breaking and entering to his vehicle. The vehicle was parked at the corner of two streets and the break may have taken place between 2/10 - 2/13. Just Loose change was taken.

TECHNOLOGY SQUARE
A security supervisor called CPD Teleserve to report that one of the guards from his company was harassed earlier today. A short while later, the actual guard called in and reported that the "harassment" was in fact a suspect threatening to stab her with a knife. She observed the man holding the knife. The man then fled without further incident.

A Massachusetts Avenue business reports a Burglary. Upon opening the store, the employee seen clothing thrown on the ground. Employee states $230 was taken from register along with 14 watches and an unknown number of sneakers and clothing.

Cambridge Police summonsed a Boston man for misuse of a fire alarm. Due to the man seeming to be heavily intoxicated, covered in his own bodily fluids and not being able to follow basic instructions he was involuntarily hospitalized for his own safety.

On Friday, February 12, 2021, at approximately 8:40AM, Chad Cormier, 40, 279 Daniels Street, Fitchburg, MA was arrested at 1 Central Square and charged with 2 counts of Vandalizing Property (Tagging). A witness observed Cormier tagging a City of Cambridge electrical box on Harvard Street. Officers located Cormier, who fit the description of the suspect, at 1 Central Square as he was tagging an MBTA bus shelter with the same tag found on the electrical box. Cormier was also found to have 3 outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Jesse Swartz, 42, 240 Albany Street, Cambridge was placed under arrest for trespassing at a warming center located on Massachusetts Avenue. Swartz was told by warming center staff that he was no longer welcome due to his conduct toward the staff and he refused to leave. After Swartz declined to move to any other shelter in the city that Cambridge Police Officers and warming staff arranged for to him reside, Swartz declared he was not leaving. As a result, Swartz was placed under arrest for trespassing.

The foreman on a construction site in Cambridge called CPD Teleserve to report malicious destruction to a rented port-o-potty. The hinges were ripped off the port-o-potty rendering it unusable. They discovered the damage first thing on February 11th.
