Cambridge Police were made aware of a shoplifting occurring at convenience store on Main Street. An unidentified person took a box of 20 individual "Dunkaroos" from the store as it was being restocked. The person fled the area in a red car.

A Massachusetts Avenue resident contacted the Cambridge Police to report the theft of her cell phone that occurred earlier in the day from a restaurant in Porter Square.

B&E NIGHTTIME FOR FELONY C266 S16

TROWBRIDGE ST
Cambridge Police Officers responded to Trowbridge Street for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. The reporting party stated that two male suspects and one female suspect were trying to gain access to a Trowbridge unit by using some form of tool in the rear entrance door. Upon officer’s arrival, officers located three parties matching the description given. One of the suspects was identified as Renato Pignataro, 34, homeless. Pignataro had a warrant out of Norfolk Superior Docket for Armed Robbery, Mayhem, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Serious Bodily Injury, Armed Assault to Murder and Conspiracy. Pignataro was arrested on scene and will also be charged with Attempted Breaking and Entering Nighttime for Felony, Vandalizing Property and Possession of Burglarious Instruments. Mathew King, 39, 112 South Hampton Street in Boston, was also arrested after a brief investigation on a warrant out of Pittsfield District Court.
