Cambridge Police placed Joselly Jessurum, 30, New York, NY, under arrest for Utter Counterfeit Note and having in Possession a Counterfeit Note. The victim reported that Jessurum passed counterfeit US currency notes in attempt to purchase goods and a search revealed Jessurum to be in possession of an additional counterfeit US currency note.

Braulio Matos, 31, homeless, was placed under arrest for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Larceny Under $1,200 by False Pretense. A Boston Taxi Cab was reported stolen earlier today and reportedly in the Porter Square area. While searching the area, Matos was observed by a Cambridge Police Officer exiting the driver side door of the reported stolen Boston Taxi Cab in a parking garage with another unknown party exiting the opposite rear passenger side. In Matos’ possession was the stolen car keys reported by the victim. In addition, the unknown party that exited the vehicle with Matos was under the impression that Matos was a taxi cab driver. The owner of the stolen vehicle shortly arrived on scene and verified the car keys that Matos had in his possession were his. Matos was placed under arrest without incident and transported via wagon to the police station where he was book in the usual manner. While being booked, it was discovered that Matos had warrants out of Cambridge District Court (Kidnapping, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Threat to Commit Crime).
