In response to recent complaints of drug use, Officers patrolled a reported area and observed two individuals entering a porta-potty with what were believed to be narcotics. Both individuals were stopped, identified and the drugs – believed to be heroin and cocaine -- were recovered to be destroyed.

A Canal Park resident reported vandalism to her motor vehicle on July 6, 2021 at approximately 3:05 p.m. The victim stated that a suspect "keyed" her vehicle while it was parked in the garage of her building sometimes between July 2, 2021 and July 4, 2021. The damage was reported to be a long, deep scratch on the rear hatchback.

A Rindge Avenue resident reported vandalism to a motor vehicle on July 6, 2021 at approximately 4:20 p.m. An unknown suspect shattered the rear left window of a Honda Civic sometime since 10 a.m. today. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Rindge Avenue.

Cambridge Police conducted a traffic stop while on a directed patrol in the area of Massachusetts Avenue at Prospect Street. While conducting the directed patrol, Officers observed a 2019 Ford Fusion in the intersection. As officers observed this vehicle, the registration came back "revoked for insurance." As a result of this, a resident of Everett was issued a criminal application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Insurance.

A resident of Malden was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in violation of special regulation. The operator was initially stopped for speeding. During the stop, he admitted to the officer that he did not have a license.

Cambridge Police conducted a traffic stop along Putnam Avenue. As a result, Pablo Cabrera, 23, 1008 Main Street in Worcester, was placed into custody for a warrant out of Dudley District Court for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

A Franklin Street resident reported a break-in to a motor vehicle on July 6, 2021 at approximately 5 p.m. A female suspect acquired a key to the vehicle and used it to enter the car just after 4 a.m. today. The suspect stole a wallet containing $50 in cash, sunglasses and paperwork. The incident was captured on video surveillance.
