NEWTOWNE CT
Cambridge Police responded to the area of Newtowne Court for a report of two male parties with a gun. The reporting party claimed that two male parties brandished a firearm out of a backpack following a confrontation. Responding Units canvassed the area and located two individuals at the intersection of Broadway and Elm Street matching the description provided by the reporting party. Following a brief foot pursuit, both parties were each found to be in possession of loaded firearms and ammunition. A juvenile will be charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (firearm), Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition without an FID Card. Cayo Almeida, 18, Somerville, will be charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (firearm), Possession of an Assault Weapon or Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device and Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition without an FID Card.

As a result, Michael Wilson, 48, 7 Kahler Avenue in Milton, was placed into custody for a warrant and also being charged with Marked Lanes Violation, OUI Liquor and Operating a Motor Vehicle With a Suspended Driver's License.
