Rodrigo Gonzalez, 33, 126 Montgomery Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating to Endanger, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage, and Failure to Stop for Police. Gonzalez was arrested after police received a report that he was recklessly driving his vehicle on Alewife Brook Parkway crashing into curbs, barriers and other vehicles without stopping. Witnesses believed Gonzalez may have been intoxicated. It wasn't until Gonzalez hit gridlock traffic at Alewife Brook Parkway and Rindge Avenue that Officers were able to stop him. Upon making contact with Gonzalez, he had slurred speech, glossy eyes, and was unsteady on his feet. Officers asked if he had taken anything and he admitted to taking Adderall and apologized for drinking alcohol.

A Somerville resident was issued a Massachusetts Uniform Citation, which informed him that he would be summoned to court with leaving the scene of property damage. He was observed by several people driving into the back of a Chevy Silverado with his Chrysler 200 near the intersection of Mass Ave. and Sellers Street and then proceeded to drive off. He was later found passed out on Franklin Street. When questioned by Officers, he admitted committing the hit and run.

Cambridge Police received a phone call from a resident of Arlington Street reporting a past larceny and fraudulent credit card purchases. According to the reporting party/victim, their wallet was stolen between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on September 17, 2021. Their credit card was fraudulently used to purchase goods at a local area store.
