While he admitted to being in an argument with the victim, he denied displaying a knife. Pixley did have a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.

Cambridge Police responded to the 800 block of Massachusetts Avenue after it was reported that a suspect had broken into a motor vehicle located in the driveway of a private residence. Upon speaking with the vehicle's owner, it was discovered that no items had been stolen, but entry to the unlocked vehicle had been gained. A possible suspect was identified with the help of a passerby.

A Mattapan resident reported a road rage incident on January 16, 2022 at approximately 4 p.m. The victim stated that while he was operating his vehicle on River Street earlier this afternoon, another driver repeatedly cut him off and would brake suddenly, nearly causing several crashes. The suspect operator repeated this dangerous driving behavior up to Massachusetts Avenue.

Cambridge PD conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle operating without headlights or tail lights on Massachusetts Avenue. It was found that the license plates attached to the vehicle were registered to another vehicle, and that vehicle did not have any active insurance. As a result, the operator is being charged with Attaching or Concealing a Registration Plate and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance.

Matthew McCormick, 31, homeless out of Milford, was arrested by Cambridge Police following the report of shoplifting by a known shoplifter inside of a Cambridge business. McCormick was gathering items from the store in a basket, when he was stopped by Police. McCormick proceeded to attempt to walk away and, while police attempted to detain him as a part of a police investigation, he pushed two officers and resisted arrest once he was guided to the ground. It was later discovered that McCormick had a warrant out of Norfolk Superior Court for unarmed robbery and larceny over $1,200. As a result, McCormick was arrested and charged with Shoplifting, two counts of Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and for the outstanding warrants.

Officers initially stopped a motor vehicle after the vehicle was observed going through a red light at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Western Avenue.
