INCIDENT22001316
RECEIVE STOLEN PROPERTY -$1200 C266 S60

MEMORIAL DR
Cambridge Police responded to a hotel located at Memorial Drive for a report of an assault in progress. Once on scene, officers learned that the assault consisted of only a verbal dispute between two parties, but one of the involved parties allegedly fled the scene with money that belonged to the reporting party. Officers were able to locate the suspect and it was discovered that they (Sydney Speight, 26, 101 Strawberry Hill Road in Centerville) had a warrant out of Barnstable District Court for Receiving Stolen Property (-$1,200). During the search incident to arrest, the amount of money in the exact denominations was discovered that the victim claimed was taken. Due to the fact that Speight knowingly possessed money that she knew was stolen, she is being charged in Cambridge District Court with Receiving Stolen Property and additional warrant charges.
