B&E DAYTIME FOR FELONY C266 S18

MOULTON ST
Tyler Clapsaddle, 25, Providence, RI; Jasmina De Leon Gill, 30, Providence, RI; Toni Sarah Jones-Silver, 27, Providence, RI; Nikteha Salazar, 28, Providence, RI; and

Jessica Steinrueck, 26, Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico were arrested for Breaking and Entering Daytime For a Felony, five counts of Vandalizing a Building, Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing. At approximately 7:55 a.m., Gill, Jonas-Silver, Steinrueck, Clapsaddle, and Salazar used a ladder in order to gain access to the roof of a Moulton Street business. From the roof, the group entered a restricted outdoor area behind a wall secured by a locked door and locked gate. The group then cut the lock on the gate and replaced it with their own. An object was placed underneath one of the locked doors in order to prevent it from being opened from the inside. Another lock was placed on the outside of an emergency exit in order to stop anyone from gaining stair access to the roof. The group also placed a chain across two columns of the parking structure, preventing vehicles from entering or exiting. The group used locking devices known as "Sleeping Dragons" to lock themselves together and to a safety railing on the roof. As a result, tar and other debris were scattered along the rooftop of the business. The group used a megaphone while chanting slogans and used colored smoke cannisters as visual props. When they were asked to exit the roof and to unlock themselves, they refused and would not interact with police on scene. Therefore, when they were freed from their devices, they were arrested for the aforementioned charges.
