ASSAULT TO MURDER, ARMED C265 S18

WHEELER ST
Cambridge Police responded to a Wheeler Street construction site for a report of two people stabbed. Two males were treated for multiple stab wounds by responding officers and Cambridge Fire. The victims were transported by Professional Ambulance for further treatment. A male suspect, Carcensky Salvant, 21, 15 David Road in Randolph, was identified and placed under arrest. A knife was located and identified as the weapon used by a witness and was collected as evidence. An initial investigation revealed Salvant was attempting to collect a debt that was owed to him by one of the victims. Salvant is being charged with Armed Assault to Murder, Assault and Battery by Dangerous Weapon, and Assault and Battery to Collect Loan.

Juan Diaz, 26, 133 Washington Street in Lynn, was arrested by the Cambridge Police after failing to stop at a marked red light at the intersection of Broadway and Windsor Street in Cambridge. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Diaz was operating the motor vehicle with a suspended license. Diaz was arrested and charged with Failure to Stop and Operating after Suspension.

Francis Haugh, 43, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest at Cambridge Street on warrants issued out of the Roxbury District Court on a charge of Burning Personalty and the other out of the Cambridge District Court charging him with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of a Class B Substance.
