Cambridge Police Officers observed an illegally parked motor vehicle in the area of Magazine Street at Green Street. CPD Officers learned the motor vehicle had a revoked insurance status. The vehicle was stopped and towed for having a revoked status for insurance and operating an uninsured motor vehicle on a public way.

Parbir Batra, 41, 39 Boylston Street in Boston, was arrested at Green Street and Magazine Street and charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance. An officer had observed Batra, who was known to have warrants for his arrest out of the Boston District Court for drug violations. As the officer approached Batra, he observed him engaging in a drug transaction where he was selling suspected crack cocaine to an unknown female. The baggy of suspected crack cocaine was recovered and Batra was charged accordingly.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a disturbance involving a group outside a bar and a person with a firearm. A male that matched the description of a person with a firearm was stopped on Prospect Street and was identified. A firearm was not located on his possession, but a discarded firearm was located by an officer in a bush in the area of Austin Park. It was recovered and taken as evidence by CPD.

An employee of a Cambridge business reported being the victim of a flim flam. The reporting person was coerced into using business funds to purchase gift cards by a suspect claiming to be a police officer. The suspect had convinced the employee it was related to a counterfeit money investigation.
