RIVER ST
Cambridge Police responded to a local restaurant located on River Street for Break and Enter in progress. Upon arrival, it was apparent to officers that a break had occurred due to the fact that the front glass window had been broken and the front entrance door was left open. Officers performed a protective sweep of the business (where oftentimes money or other valuables are kept), which rendered no one inside the property, but the cash register was found empty and extremely damaged. Upon initial arrival, officers encountered two parties both claiming to be witnesses of the crime. An investigation was conducted and based off witness statements and proximity to the crime gave probable cause to arrest Albert MORISSETTE, 52, of Woodbine Street of Roxbury for the following: Breaking and entering DAYTIME FOR A FELONY), (BREAK INTO DEPOSITORY), (DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY +$1200, MALICIOUS). A search incident to arrest both MORISSETTE's person and his belongings produced a pair of pliers, which is possible and capable of being the instrument involved in the breaking and entering. As a result, MORISSETTE is also being charged with one count of (POSSESSION OF BURGLARIOUS INSTRUMENT).

Cambridge Police notified a Boston resident that they will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for shoplifting by asportation. Boston resident stole merchandise from a local business in Central Square Massachusetts Avenue. He was stopped approximately one block away from the store moments after officers were dispatched that the Boston resident had the stolen merchandise on his person and was verified that they exited the store without paying through security footage. The store has informed officers that the Boston resident has stolen from them numerous times and would like to proceed with the charges.

An Allston, MA resident reports that her motor vehicle was rear-ended while she was stopped for the traffic signal at the intersection of Prospect St and Cambridge St. Victim states that the operator of the suspect vehicle never stopped to exchange insurance information and continued to drive towards Somerville, MA. Reporting Party was able to obtain the License Plate number of the suspect vehicle.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE

Cambridge Police placed Lisa Waddie, 60, Homeless of Cambridge under arrest for 1 count of disorderly conduct as well as 1 count of possession to distribute counterfeit drug. A passerby flagged down officers at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Temple Street for a report of a women urinating in a ATM vestibule. Upon investigation there was a puddle inside of the ATM as well as Ms. Waddie admitting to urinating in the vestibule. During the search incident to arrest Ms. Waddie was found to have 2 clear baggies with a white powdery substance n them. This is consistent with baggies used for street-level narcotics distribution. Detectives certified in the TruNarc analyzer confirmed that the white powdery substance was in fact Vitamin D. Ms. Waddie will be charged with 1 count of Disorderly Conduct in violation of for urinating in the ATM vestibule offending customers causing them to leave and get the attention of Police. Ms. Waddie will also be charged with possession to distribute counterfeit drug in violation of for being in possession of a white powdery substance, bagged in multiple clear baggies consistent with street level narcotics, in a high drug activity area.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police were flagged down in front of local business in Central Square. An employee stated that a man later identified as Anthony Moore, 56, Homeless of Boston had just stolen numerous items without paying for them. Officer's located Moore, matching the description given by the employee, as well as a female identified as Leslie Wheeler, 44, Homeless of Boston. A backpack containing the stolen goods, Moore's and Wheeler's identification, and a white/brown powder believed to be heroin was found in the Central Square Red Line T station on the flight path of MOORE from the scene. Investigation revealed that Mr.Moore had 7 active warrants and he will also be charged with the following crimes: (Shoplifting by Asportation,) and (Possession of Class A Drug). Ms.Wheeler also was found to have 8 active warrants and was placed under arrest.
