Cambridge Police were flagged down by a male that was reportedly just assaulted at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Berkshire Street. After an investigation, Cambridge Police arrested the defendant, a juvenile, for Assault and Battery on a Person Over the Age of 60 and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. It was determined that based on a totality of circumstances, the defendant threw a rock at the victim striking him in the head. The defendant also punched the victim with closed fist several times causing significant facial injuries. The victim was evaluated by Pro EMS on scene.

ROGERS ST
Cambridge Police arrested Niehaus Holly, 51, 127 River Road in West Newbury, for OUI-Liquor and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage. Cambridge Police was in the area of Second Street and Rogers Street when one of the officers observed multiple plastic pieces what looked to be a splash guard of a car in the middle of Second Street. That officer then observed a large black SUV bearing plates registered to Holly parked on Second Street just before Rogers Street with heavy front-end damage. Holly was still in the driver's seat with her engine running. That officer then stopped and spoke to Holly to do a well-being check. Further investigation revealed that Holly was impaired and showed multiple signs of impairment during conversation and agreed to having a last alcoholic beverage about an hour ago. In addition, further investigation revealed that Holly caused damage to a building on First Street and kept driving until she parked on Second Street by Rogers Street. At the station, Holly consented to submit to the chemical test to determine her BAC and Holly subsequently registered a BAC of .21.
