Cambridge Police responded to Pearl Street for a report of suspicious activity. Specifically, the reporting party contacted ECC regarding an individual attempting to gain entry into multiple unoccupied/parked motor vehicles. Responding Units canvassed the area and located a suspect matching the description. The suspect was identified and sunglasses were recovered and submitted to evidence. At the time of this report, no missing property has been reported.

Cambridge Police responded to a Norfolk Street parking lot for a reported larceny. After speaking with the reporting party/victim, it was determined that a larceny and assault and battery had occurred on Cambridge Street. There were no reported injuries.

Cambridge Police responded to the intersection of River Street and Cottage Street for a reported past breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. According to the reporting party/victim, their motor vehicle was broken into between 6:30 p.m. on December 15, 2022, and 1:30 p.m. on December 18, 2022. The motor vehicle was parked/unoccupied at the time of the alleged break with no sign of forced entry.

Cambridge Police officers were flagged down on Massachusetts Avenue for a hit and run that had just occurred. After speaking to the reporting party, the other involved vehicle operator had provided his license and registration information. A query of the vehicle that had left the scene revealed that the registration was revoked for insurance purposes. As a result, a resident of Boston will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Operating with a Revoked Registration and Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
