Cambridge Police issued a summons to a resident of Boston. The driver was observed by Police operating a motor vehicle on a public way without headlights on at approximately 1 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop following observing the violation and found that the driver’s license was suspended. They will be charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle After Suspension and Lights Violation.

MARKET ST
Cambridge Police arrested Jordan Shockley, 32, 36 Maxwell Street in Boston, for a charge of Breaking and Entering for a Misdemeanor and a charge of Vandalizing Property. Police were called to a Market Street apartment for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, officers met the defendant – who was known to the victim -- in the foyer/entryway to the apartment, which he had no right of access to. The defendant was not invited into the apartment, had no right to enter the apartment, does not live there, and does not have a key to enter. The victim stated that the defendant had told her that he had gotten in through a window. Through an investigation, it was determined that in the act of breaking into the apartment, the defendant forcibly removed a screen from one of the victim's bedroom windows. The window was also unable to be opened or fully shut. Another of the victim's bedroom windows also had its screen raised.

A resident of Cambridge was summonsed for Assault and Battery on an EMT after she spat on an EMT and punched him in the face while she was at a hospital. The EMT received minor injuries to the face as a result of being punched and had to receive treatment at a local hospital for his injuries. It shall be noted this incident was witnessed by multiple officers and hospital staff.

Cambridge Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit and Cambridge Fire responded to Cherry Street and School Street for a report of a suspicious item that had wires wrapped around several pipes. Upon arrival, Cambridge Police EOD quickly identified the item as an old gas meter that was left behind from a construction site.

A resident called 911 stating a car just drove into the park. The operator reported that her brakes did not work while trying to parallel park. There were no injuries and the car was towed out of the park.
