Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for a recent Boston Police notice, who also failed to stop at a stop sign. The operator (William Woodworth, 60, 38 Rutland Street in Watertown) consented to a search of the vehicle. An unlicensed firearm that was loaded and ammunition were located within the firearm. As a result, Woodworth was placed into custody and being charged with the following crimes: Failure to Stop, Possession of Ammunition without an FID or LTC, Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, and Receiving a Firearm With a Defaced Serial Number.

Cambridge Police responded to Fayette Street for a hit-and-run crash with property damage. Officers stopped the suspect vehicle on Hampshire Street. The operator of the suspect vehicle was identified as a resident of Cambridge. They did not have a valid driver's license and will be summoned for Unlicensed Operation of Motor Vehicle, Operating a Vehicle on a Public Way Without a Valid Driver's License when a show-up identification was conducted and the victim positively identified the operator who struck his vehicle, Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle for operating a stolen vehicle without the owner's permission that had a damaged ignition while the driver had a screw driver in her pocket and stated she did not know the vehicle was stolen, and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage for crashing into a parked postal truck and leaving the scene without stopping to exchange information with the mailman or calling police.

As a result of this stop, a Cambridge resident will be summoned to the Cambridge District Court for Operation After Suspension of a License and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage for knowingly crashing into a vehicle in traffic by stating that he did tap a vehicle lightly and leaving without exchanging information with the other involved operator.
