Officers were on patrol in the area of Howard and River Street and observed a motor vehicle violation. Officers performed a motor vehicle stop and identified the operator as Peter Damelio, 47, 187 Grove Street in Arlington. During the investigation, Officers observed a firearm in plain view. Officers removed Damelio from vehicle and asked him to provide his License to Carry, which he did not possess. During a search incident to arrest, a trafficking amount of heroin and cocaine were in the vehicle. Damelio was placed under arrest and charged with the following: Carrying a Firearm or Ammunition without FID Card, Carry Loaded Firearm Without License, Trafficking in Heroin, Trafficking in Cocaine, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law, as well as civil motor vehicle violations.

An investigation revealed that an unhoused resident out of Cambridge used his personal bicycle to maliciously destroy personal property (a side building window), which caused heavy damage. He will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for the listed charge of Malicious Destruction of Property.
