A resident of Trowbridge Street reported they were scammed out of $1000. The victim received an email from a person they believed to be their priest. The victim was asked to obtain two gift cards from a department store to give to employees of the church. The victim obtained the cards, sent them to the person who contacted them, and after speaking with their priest realized this was a scam.

After paying for the anti-virus service the victim has received several unwanted calls from Microsoft. The calls say the victim's laptop may be further compromised and the victim needs to pay more money to resolve the problem.

A resident of Franklin Street reported that following an exchange of words with a male suspect on Massachusetts Avenue at Pearl Street, the male suspect pulled out what they believed to be a handgun out of their jacket and passed it to a second suspect. Information about the suspects was provided to officers.

Cambridge Police responded to Main and Portland Street for the report of a larceny in progress. The Cambridge Police Emergency Communication Center (ECC) informed responding officers that the suspect had also broken an ATM window. ECC further informed us that the suspect was wearing a red coat, black pants, and orange/white shoes. Upon arrival, Kairi Thomas, 23, 1855 Washington Street in Boston (who matched the description of the suspect), was arrested on vandalized property charges. During booking procedures, it was also found that Thomas had a warrant out of Newburyport Court for vandalized property and receiving stolen property under $1200.

The resident stated that they were alerted of fraud on their credit card. They found that an suspect broke into their motor vehicle, stole their credit card, and made multiple fraudulent purchases at the store.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop after officers observed a motor vehicle commit a marked lane violation on Massachusetts Avenue. While speaking with the operator once he was pulled over, officers observed glassy eyes, slurred speech, and the smell of alcoholic beverage emanating from the operator. Christopher Perry, 57, 30 Sunset Road in Cambridge, was identified as the operator and will be charged in Cambridge District Court with OUI Liquor and Marked Lanes Violation.
