MT AUBURN ST
Cambridge Police responded to the intersection of Brattle Street and Hawthorn Street for a report of a pedestrian struck. The pedestrian sustained a head injury and had a laceration on their nose. The operator of the involved vehicle transported the pedestrian to a local hospital and left the scene. Further investigation revealed that the operator failed to identify themselves to the injured person and did not leave the registration number of the involved motor vehicle, nor called the police to report the crash. As a result of this crash, a a Cambridge resident will be summoned to the Cambridge District Court for Leaving the Scene of a Collision with Personal Injury for striking a pedestrian and transporting them to the emergency room and leaving the scene without identifying themselves to the pedestrian nor calling police to report the crash, and failure to stop for a pedestrian at a crosswalk after a witness observed the above mentioned resident strike a pedestrian while the pedestrian was on a crosswalk crossing Hawthorn Street.
