Cambridge Police responded to the 200 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving two cars. Upon an investigation, it was determined that Christine Brown, 50, 20 Child Street in Cambridge, had been operating her motor vehicle on a public road way while under the influence of alcohol when she left the marked lane of travel and crashed into a parked motor vehicle. Brown was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with OUI Liquor and a Marked Lane Violation.

Specifically, the reporting party/victim stated that they were riding their bicycle in Harvard Square on Friday March 24, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m. when they were involved in a crash with a motorist that drove away from the scene prior to exchanging information. The bicyclist self-transported to a local area hospital for further treatment/evaluation.

Cambridge Police responded to the 800 block of Cambridge Street for a report of a motor vehicle that crashed into a building. The operator of the involved vehicle complained of head pain. He was evaluated on scene by Pro EMS and transported to a local hospital for further treatment. As a result of this crash, a Cambridge resident was summoned to Cambridge District Court for Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle for losing control of his vehicle and backing into a parking meter, driving over the sidewalk, crashing into a bench and into a building, and Marked Lanes Violation for crossing the bike lane before driving over the sidewalk.

Sherryce Byrd, 41, 34 Hubbard Avenue in Cambridge, was arrested for having a warrant out of Cambridge District Court (Fraud Insurance). Byrd was stopped by Officers after she was seen by an employee steal an alcohol bottle from a store. The staff notified the Cambridge Police Department, who proceeded to initiate a search. The suspect was found near the area of Walden Street at Raymond Street.
