Cambridge Police responded to a department store in Central Square for a report of a possible shoplifting in progress. Officers arrested the suspect (Jamie Nucci, 50, unhoused out of Cambridge) after it was discovered he had warrants issued out of Cambridge District Court (Trespassing and Larceny Under $1,200) and Somerville District Court (OUI Drugs, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Marked Lane Violation, Vandalizing Property, and Attempting to Commit a Crime).

A group of juveniles entered a Central Square convenience store. For approximately five minutes, they could be seen walking up and down the aisles and periodically grouping up together. Every one of them left without making a purchase. The employee believes they stole items from the store.

A Cambridge resident reported an attempted fraud regarding several bank accounts on April 5, 2023 at approximately 5:20 PM. A suspect had posed as a bank fraud investigator and got the victim to supply account information via telephone. The victim became suspicious and with the assistance of actual bank employees she avoided losing any money.

Cambridge Police were dispatched to Market Street for a check parking call regarding a vehicle blocking a driveway. After an investigation, it was determined the vehicle was parked illegally on a public way and was uninsured with a revoked registration. The registered owner will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for the following charges: Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
