BISHOP ALLEN DR
Cambridge Police placed Christopher Johnson, 38, 24 Colborne Road in Boston, under arrest. At approximately 2 a.m., Officers observed Johnson operating a motor vehicle along Massachusetts Avenue without operational head lights or tail lights. A traffic stop was conducted a short time later. Officers observed an open container of alcohol in the center console as well as one in the rear pouch of the passenger seat. Johnson displayed glassy eyes, slurred speech, and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath while speaking with police. He was put through Standardized Field Sobriety Tests in which officers deemed that Johnson was intoxicated. He was then taken into custody. Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle and found two small baggies containing a white powdery substance located in the vehicle. Following a field test of the substance, it was found to be Cocaine. Given all of the facts stated above, Johnson will be charged with Operating Under the Influence of Liquor, Possession of Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Lights Violation, and Possession of Class B Drug.
