Cambridge Police took a report for a past motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. The motorists reported that on 6/30/23, they hit a pedestrian while the pedestrian abruptly crossed the street without using the crosswalk. The impact caused damage to the motorists’ windshield. Cambridge Police later contacted the pedestrian to take their report, and the pedestrian indicated that they would be seeking medical attention for their injuries. A crash report was filed. No citations were issued.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Massachusetts Ave for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian operating a motorized scooter. The operator of the vehicle reported that their front seat passenger opened the passenger side door into the bicycle lane and made contact with the motorized scooter traveling in the bicycle lane. The operator of the scooter subsequently flipped over the passenger side door and landed on a parked vehicle. The operator of the scooter sustained injuries to their legs, neck, and hands, and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The operator of the vehicle was issued a citation for Unsafe Opening a Motor Vehicle Door.
