A Braintree resident reported a hit and run that occurred on Prospect Street Cambridge. The motorist reported that a person on a bicycle crashed into their vehicle causing damage, and the operator of the bicycle fled before providing any identifying information. No injuries were reported. A crash report was filed.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Columbia Street and Harrington Terrace for a report of motor vehicle crash involving a moped. It was reported that the operator of the motor vehicle crashed into the moped when it was turning left onto Columbia Street from Harrington Terrace. The operator of the vehicle stopped briefly but fled the scene without exchanging information and before officers arrived. The operator of the moped sustained injuries to their left leg. They were treated on scene and were transported to the hospital for further treatment. A crash report was filed.

It was determined that the vehicle had a green light and was traveling straight on Mass Ave. when the operator of the bicycle, traveling in the right bicycle lane, cut in front to the motor vehicle attempting to turn onto Sidney Street. The bicyclist sustained minor cuts on their arms but declined medical assistance. The operator of the bicycle was cited for an unsafe lane change.
