The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) Senior Academy helps foster better communication between our senior population and officers through education. The more the public can learn about all facets of our profession, the greater their understanding and empathy will be. The CPD Senior Academy is a unique opportunity for seniors in our community to engage with law enforcement professionals, learn about policing practices, and gain insights into public safety initiatives. This comprehensive program aims to foster positive relationships between seniors and the police department while providing valuable education. Everyone benefits from enhancing citizen understanding of the role and function of their police department.
The three-day class meets on July 23, 24, & 25 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at 806 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge. Please find the information on how to register in our flyer. The deadline to register for the first Senior Academy is Monday, July 15th.
CPD will be hosting two additional academies this summer. We will share details soon.
