While on patrol, officers observed a motor vehicle fail to stop at the red light, at the intersection of Broadway St & Prospect St. A traffic stop was conducted and officers learned the motor vehicle's registration was revoked for lack of insurance. As a result the vehicle was towed and the owner / operator will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of Uninsured Motor Vehicle on a Public Way, Operating a Motor Vehicle with Revoked Registration, and Failure to Stop; Red Light.

Police responded to the intersection of Franklin St and Pleasant St for a motor vehicle crash. A parked motor vehicle was struck and damaged by a commercial trailer. No injuries were reported. A report was taken.

Police responded to a report of an unwanted person on the 200 block of Alewife Brook Pkwy. The reporting party stated an individual had eaten soup without paying and fell asleep in the dining area. The individual was removed without incident.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting on the 500 block of Massachusetts Ave. A store employee stated an individual attempted to shoplift a variety of items valued at $184. The items were recovered and the individual was identified, they were trespassed from the business.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance on the 400 block of Massachusetts Ave. The reporting party stated that an unknown person had slashed their rear right tire and left a sticker of Elon Musk on the vehicle. A report was taken.

WARRANT ARREST
MASSACHUSETTS AVE
While on patrol in the area of Central Square, officers observed an individual believed to have multiple warrants for their arrest from Cambridge District Court. Officers confirmed the warrants and after a brief foot pursuit through the subway station placed Jonathan Kimathi, 22, unhoused, under arrest. As during the foot pursuit Kimathi ran onto the MBTA Red Line Tracks and created a hazardous situation for multiple bystanders in the station he will face additional charges of Disorderly Conduct and Walking on a Railroad Track.
