Police on patrol in Central Square observed a fight involving three males. After an investigation, one individual was summonsed to Cambridge District Court after they had taken and carried money away from the other two involved parties earlier in the evening. The other two individuals were summonsed to Cambridge District Court for unarmed assault to rob after they attempted to forcefully retrieve the money that was taken by the first individual.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered that this party committed a shoplifting the previous day by concealing various merchandise in their purse and exited the store. As a result, the individual was summonsed to Cambridge District Court for shoplifting by asportation.

Police responded to a Central Square business on the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue for reports of a fight. The reporting party at the business told officers a female stole items and assaulted an employee. After an investigation, it was discovered that an employee at the business had followed the female through the store trying to get the woman to leave. At one point, there was a physical altercation the woman was pushed to the ground, punched multiple times, called a racial slur and pepper sprayed. Nicholas Hutchins, 47, of Lyman, ME was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Battery to Intimidate. Police determined the female had taken merchandise. The female was summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Shoplifting by Asportation, (3rd Offense).
