Analysis of the crime totals for the first 90 days of 2019 indicates that violent crimes recorded a substantial 14% decrease to start the year, while property crimes registered a 16% increase with 60 additional crimes reported when compared with the first three months of 2018. Larceny of bicycles and larceny from motor vehicles (many that were unlocked) fueled the property crime increase. Read More.
