Juvenile Fire Education Program

Cambridge Police

The Juvenile Fire Education Program offers children an alternative to facing criminal charges for their involvement in lighting fires, while also providing an educational opportunity to inform them of the hazards of fire. The 10-week program is completely free for participants and taught by members of the Cambridge Police and Fire Departments. Over the course of the program, participants learn about fire science, peer-pressure, anger management, arson, fireworks, civil and criminal liability, fire statistics, and safety and survival tips. Classes are typically held on Mondays from 6-8 p.m.

For questions about the program, please contact Detective Michael Miceli at 617-349-9390.
