About

Central Square Branch Library is located just one block from the Central MBTA Red Line station and serves the surrounding neighborhoods of Cambridgeport and The Port. It opened in 1976 as part of the complex that includes the Green Street parking garage and the Frank J. Manning Apartments. Central Square Branch is home to the Library’s adult literacy program. It hosts an annual program celebrating the life of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
