Cambridge Police Department Investigating Sexual Assault in Central Square

Cambridge, MA – The Cambridge Police Department is investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred on June 11, 2024. The victim told officers on scene that at approximately 12:20 a.m., on the 200 block of Franklin Street, the victim was conversing with three individuals, and does not recall what happened next. The victim reported waking up in a parking lot in Central Square and having been assaulted. The victim was transported to a hospital.

Residents should call 911 immediately if they ever feel threatened or observe any suspicious activity. CPD has assigned additional patrols to the area as an additional precaution.
