Working Fire Box 45-862

In the early morning of March 25 (at 1227 a.m.) a Working Fire was ordered, box 45-862, for the fire in a basement crawl-space at 52 Grozier Rd, a 3 story, wood-frame multi residence. Working in a smoke condition, companies located & quickly extinguished the fire in a basement crawl space. Companies remained on scene overhauling the area and ensuring that the fire had not extended further. Approximately 35 firefighters worked at the fire.

 

Residents were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported. The cause was under investigation.

All companies had cleared at  239 a.m.

Engines 9, 8, 1, & 6; Ladders 4, 1, & 3; Squads 4, 3, & 2; Rescue 1; & Divisions 2 & 1 worked at the fire.

On duty: group 2

Cambridge Inspectional Services also responded.
