Cambridge Firefighters Conduct Another Successful "Toys-For-Tots" Drive
The Cambridge Fire Department would like to thank all those who contributed to another successful “Toys-for-Tots” Drive in 2014.
A large truckload of toys was delivered to the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
“We are grateful to the residents and those who work in Cambridge for their generosity in providing a toy for a child on Christmas morning,” said Assistant Chief Gerry Mahoney who has coordinated the toy drive since 2002.
The fire department and Cambridge Firefighters Local 30 IAFF were also greatly assisted this year by Draper Laboratories, the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Professional Ambulance Company, the CambridgeSide Galleria Mall and the Mt. Auburn Hospital. Many other Cambridge businesses conducted toy collections at their holiday parties and delivered the toys to Cambridge fire houses.
A special thank you to TC Construction Company for providing a truck for the delivery of the toys.
Please Note: If you were unable to meet our December 15th deadline, please consider donating your toys to The Salvation Army at 402 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, who help approximately 1200 children in Cambridge, Somerville and Arlington to receive holiday presents.
