A "Working Fire" was ordered for the fire at 15 Upland Rd on Monday morning, Oct 31st. Arriving with smoke showing from the rear of the 3-story, duplex residence, aggressive attack by companies quickly contained and extinguished the fire in the rear, 2nd and 3rd floors.
Firefighters from 4 engines, 3 ladders, 2 squads, & the rescue worked at the fire.
All residents evacuated without injury.
The time of the initial alarm was 935 a.m. All fire companies had cleared from the incident by noon.
Arlington and Brookline fire companies covered in Cambridge during the fire and responded to other, unrelated emergency calls.
Cambridge Police were on scene for traffic control and pedestrian safety. PRO EMS stood by to treat potential injuries. As always, Cambridge Emergency Communications staff coordinated all communications for the incident. Cambridge Inspectional Services also assisted on scene.
