Remember that during a fire alarm, fire, smoke condition or electrical emergency, DO NOT USE THE ELEVATOR! The smoke, fire, heat or other products of combustion cold affect the elevator electronics and stall the elevator in the shaft.

If your access to an escape route is blocked during a fire emergency or if you need assistance to get to a safe area, call 911. The calltaker/dispatcher will relay your info to the incident commander on scene & firefighters will be quickly enroute to your location in the building.
Firefighters can "capture" the elevator by means of an elevator key and manually control the elevator. If necessary fully equipped firefighters will climb the stairs - 20, 30 or more stories up to get to your location OR 15 or more stories down the stairs to some of our below-grade structures.

STAY SAFE! DO NOT USE THE ELEVATOR DURING A FIRE, SMOKE, OR ALARM CONDITION!
