Engine 2 pump ops drill

Engine Company No. 2 (group 3) from the Lafayette Square fire house is shown running a pump ops drill from a hydrant at Magazine Beach. The drill includes water supply, changeover from tank to hydrant, hydraulics, proper pressures, quick fire attack via the deck gun, and much more.

Every fire company in the city trains every day in order to maintain the optimal performance level. Training includes firefighting skills, emergency medical care, hazmat, water and ice rescue, technical rescue, and all skills required of a 21st century, urban firefighter. Our strict training regimen is also a factor in our national Class 1 fire protection rating.
