ASH STREET
On 01/29/2014 ECC dispatched CPD units to the area of Ash St. on a report of a small child found alone on the street. Parents were located very quickly by police, with the help of the neighbors. Child was not hurt, evaluated by Pro on scene. A 51A was filed.

ELLSWORTH AVE
On 01.29.2014 a resident of Malden was issued a criminal application for 90/23 Operating a M/V after revocation of registration; Operating an uninsured M/V; and 90/10 unlicensed operation of a M/V after operator was observed operating her vehicle on Cambridge St with an expired registration sticker. Cambridge St is a public/accepted way within the city. A query of the registration indicated that the vehicles registration was revoked for lack of insurance. M/V stop conducted and the operator was found to be unlicensed in Massachusetts.

On 01.29.2014 a resident reports that he received three phone calls from an individual who identified themselves as being from a utility company. The unknown individual stated that the bill was not paid and that service was going to be shut off. RP contacted company directly and they informed him that they did not call.

On 01.29.2014 a resident of N. Quincy reported that he received a voice mail at his residence. The message stated that the IRS conducted an audit of his previous tax returns and they found a discrepancy and he now owed $7,500.00usc to the IRS which he needed to pay immediately or an arrest warrant would be issued. Upon contacting the number, RP began to question its legitimacy because he was asked to pay the fine using pre-paid gift cards.

The manager of a Porter Square restaurant received a telephone call at the restaurant from a male caller posing an employee of a utility company. The unknown caller stated if he did not receive payment of  past due bill within the next hour, that service to the restaurant would be shut off. The caller hung up after the manager became suspicious and inquired about the caller's identity.
