The Cambridge Police have announced that a 16-year-old male juvenile from Cambridge has been charged with Open & Gross Lewdness for his role in last week’s indecent exposure incident at Harvard University.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at approximately 1:50 p.m. when a female graduate student reported to the Harvard University Police Department that as she was entering her building at Peabody Terrace she observed an unknown male indecently exposing himself to her.  As she was proceeding to her apartment, she again observed the same male in the building.  She immediately entered her apartment and contacted the police. The victim was not able to provide a detailed description of the offender at that time.

As a result of a joint investigation between the Cambridge Police Department and Harvard University Police Department, the suspect was identified via surveillance video late last week and summonsed to appear in court today.

Immediately following the April 22nd incident, our detectives collaborated with Harvard University Police Department detectives and quickly identified a suspect,” said Deputy Superintendent Paul Ames.  “As a result of this quick response and the fine follow-up work of our detectives and HUPD, we have been able to help bring closure to the woman who was victimized by this suspect.”
