A Cambridge resident reports that he is a victim of Identity Theft. Victim further reports that the suspect opened two fraudulent accounts for utility services at an address where the victim does not reside. As a result, there is an outstanding balance in the victim's name. A police report was filed.

An employee of a Harvard Square Church reports an unknown person stole 25 pound solid brass candlesticks from an alter sometime between 9 a.m. and noon on 5/27/14. The 90-year-old candlesticks are valued in the thousands.

A male was stopped and identified after officers observed him taking multiple photos of police officers, infrastructure, and the large crowds in the area of the Harvard University commencement.

CAMBRIDGE ST
Elizabeth Dinush, 43, 38 Ingleside Road, Lexington, was arrested for a domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. While inside the Probate Court house, she was observed following her ex-husband along with his girlfriend while yelling at them. Upon exiting the court house, she threw a coke can and struck the back of her ex-husbands head. This incident was witnessed by both the victim’s girlfriend and another bystander.

ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY
Albert G. Dathen, 52, 364 Rindge Avenue, Cambridge, was taken into custody at 125 Sixth Street for the crime of Assault by Means Dangerous Weapon with a Knife. Athena went into a wireless retail store to complain about texts he had been receiving. Dathen told the store employee not to ask for his name or date of birth. When the employee stated he needed that information to assist him, Dathen went out to his vehicle and returned with a large military style knife in his waist band. Dathen walked up to the employee and stated that he told him not to ask  for his name and date of birth. Dathen then grabbed the handle of the knife, showed the knife to the employee, and made a gesture as if he was going to pull it out. Dathen was close to the employee and the employee felt that he was going to be stabbed. The employee told the suspect to leave and he did. Cambridge Police responded to 364 Rindge Ave and talked to family members who stated Dathen would turn himself in at the Cambridge Police station. Dathen was taken into custody and a large knife was taken as evidence.

A resident of Columbia Terrace reports that an unknown person damaged his driver's side mirror on his motor vehicle. No information on suspect. The vehicle was parked on Columbia Street. Damage was over $250.

A Highland Avenue resident reported that sometime between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole numerous items. An expensive painting in the residence was also damaged between this timeframe. Investigation is ongoing.

Shaina N. Toon, 18, 55 Thacher Street, Milton, was arrested for Shoplifting and Possession of Class E substance after a local retail establishment observed her concealing their merchandise and failing to pay its monetary value. A search of Ms. Toon's purse revealed a prescription bottle containing 10 tablets that were not prescribed to her.

A Harvard Square employee reported an indecent assault and battery and criminal harassment. The victim states that while stocking shelves a male came behind her and, without her consent, grabbed her buttocks. Victim also states that the male on two occasions has entered her place of employment and has followed her around. Victim states on another occasion the male followed her to her residence.

Cambridge Police were dispatched to Watson Street for a report of malicious destruction to multiple motor vehicles. The reporting person reported seeing two men slashing tires on vehicles before fleeing.
