Gunshot Victim from Late Evening Shooting in Cambridge

The Cambridge Police Department, Massachusetts State Police and Middlesex District Attorney's Office are investigating a shooting that occurred this evening.

At approximately 10:02 p.m., Cambridge Police responded to a report of gunshots on Windsor Street.  Upon arrival, police arrived to find one gunshot victim.  That victim, a male, was immediately treated and transported to a local hospital, where they are currently in serious condition.

A black sedan was reported leaving Windsor Street towards Main Street. 

While the investigation is still extremely active, investigators do not consider this incident to be a random event and do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the general public at this time.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police immediately at 617-349-3300
