Officers responded to Broadway and Columbia Street for an accident involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the operator of the motor vehicle went through a red light and the bicyclist riding in the intersecting street ran into the vehicle.

The manager of a bank in Harvard Square reported that an unknown male came into the bank and passed a note to the teller, stating it was a robbery. The teller gave the suspect what he asked for and he left the bank and fled down Plympton Street right after that.

A Malden resident reported that on 8/10 her credit card was lost or stolen while attending classes at Education Street. Soon after that, the victim discovered that her card was fraudulently used for several transactions in the Boston area.

A Boston resident reported that he had been defrauded of over $1,200.00 after depositing a false check. He had struck an agreement with an individual through craigslist for a bed the reporting person wanted to sell. The transaction was underway when the reporting person was contacted by the bank informing him that the check he deposited for the bed was a fake.

BRATTLE ST

A Waltham resident was stopped by Cambridge Police for running a red light near Brattle Street. The operator had no valid driver’s license. The car was parked and the operator was given a citation and made transportation arrangements.
