Steve Guirand, 25, 180 Windsor Street in Cambridge, was arrested for breaking
and entering a motor vehicle in the daytime to commit a felony. A witness
observed Guirand attempting to open multiple motor vehicle door handles until
he finally made entry into a black Toyota Camry. Guirand was observed by the
reporting person entering the motor vehicle, rummaging through the back and
front seats of the motor vehicle, as well as opening the trunk and searching
the trunk. The witness followed Guirand from the motor vehicle until he was
stopped by the first responding officer. A show-up identification was
conducted and the witness stated that she was absolutely positive that the
suspect officers had stopped, Guirand, was the person she saw break into the
car. The owner of the black Toyota Camry reported that a 20 dollar bill was
missing from her wallet that was in the car. Following a search after his
arrest, three $20 bills were discovered in Guirand’s possession.
