Cambridge Police responded to Mass Ave to document a larceny of a purse report. Upon arrival, police spoke to the reporting person who stated while she was sleeping outside in Central Square, an unknown suspect stole her purse.

A Grove Street resident reported that she was the victim of identity theft. She was contacted by two department stores about suspicious activity on her store credit cards in Manhatten on 5/8/16. The resident stated that she never before owned credit cards from either of these stores. Over $900 was used on one card and under $100 on the other card.

The Cambridge Police responded to the intersection of Green Street and Magazine Street for a disturbance. It was then determined that a person by the name of Jeremiah Alto, 30, 525 Beacon Street in Boston, was being detained after he placed a bottle of vodka valued at $20.99 into a black bag and fled from a liquor store once employees approached him.

The owners of a laundromat located in the Inman Square area reported that on 5/31/16, an unknown suspect entered their establishment and stole over $200 worth in quarters after unlocking their change machine by unknown means.

Cambridge Police were dispatched to a bank on Massachusetts Avenue for a report of an individual attempting to cash a fraudulent check. The individual fled the bank before police arrived.

Gale Lewis, 59, homeless, was arrested for shoplifting from a Cambridge business. Lewis was observed by loss prevention consuming goods and sticking other goods down her shirt. Lewis had no means available to pay for the goods consumed or the goods down her shirt.

A resident of Cambridge Park Drive reported that she was a victim of a flim flam. The victim stated that she had a person repair some damage to her car and the work was shoddy. When she contacted the person about his unacceptable work done on her car, he refused to fix it.
