An Illinois native came into the Cambridge Police Department to report that
he was the victim of an apartment scam. He made arrangements to rent an
apartment on Harvard Street from 6/19 to 8/6, but when he came here to see it,
the landlord was no where to be found and the apartment belonged to someone
else. His check for more than a thousand dollars was cashed.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Mass Ave. and Sidney Street for a
report of a larceny of a bicycle. The reporting party informed dispatch that
they witnessed a light skin black male, 6 feet tall with short hair steal a
bike and then get on a bus going towards Harvard Square. It was reported that
the bike taken was black with a yellow U-lock, which was attached to the
bike. The reporting party also stated that the suspect was wearing a dark
colored shirt with writing, dark colored shorts, had a large back pack on and
was carrying a second large bag.
