APPLETON ST

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Brattle Street and Appleton Street, both public ways, for a possible OUI operator. Officers located the vehicle in question with both front tires flat and the operator admitted to operating the vehicle. After investigation the operator, Mark Pollander, 28, 11 Susan Drive in Tewksbury, was arrested for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor.

A Boston resident walked into CPD Headquarters to report that he was the victim of an apartment scam. He wired a $1,300 deposit for a rental apartment on Western Avenue only to find out that the apartment was owned by someone else and the owner does not live here.

A Lexington resident walked into CPD Headquarters to report that two suspects committed identity theft and forgery to take ownership of her house on Ashton Street. The theft took place in 2012. The two suspects live overseas, but own property in Cambridge.

CPD units responded to Alewife Brook Parkway on the report that loss prevention had detained a male for shoplifting in the loss prevention office. While en route to said call, the ECC updated responding units informing them that the male detained was causing a disturbance, "tearing up the office" and had assaulted the loss prevention personnel. A 16-year-old juvenile from Cambridge was placed under arrest for Intimidating a Witness, Assault and Battery, Malicious Destruction of Property $250+ and Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise.

Rolando Suarez, 24, homeless, was arrested by the Cambridge Police after he was positively identified by loss prevention outside of a Mt. Auburn Street grocery story with bottles of alcohol in his backpack that he stole minutes earlier.

Cambridge Police responded to a Central Square business for the report of a shoplifting, where the suspect had been detained by loss prevention personnel. Store employees observed the suspect place a large amount of merchandise into her bag in an attempt to permanently deprive the store of the merchandise without paying for it. Alisha Barreira, 25, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Larceny Over $250.

Cambridge Police responded to a harassment call at an address on Broadway. We spoke to the female resident who informed us that she was being threatened by her neighbor. She reported that her neighbor knocked at her door and she answered it. She let him in and she stated that he flashed a folding knife at her and said that he "could do her in."
