Fatal Shooting in Cambridge

Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Christopher Burke have announced that a fatal shooting occurred on Harvard Street in Cambridge early this morning. At approximately 12:18 a.m., Cambridge Police responded to a report of a shooting outside of 140 Harvard Street. Upon arrival authorities discovered the victim, Anthony Clay, 49, of Cambridge, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. This is an open and active homicide investigation being conducted by the Cambridge Police Department and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Massachusetts State Police at (781) 897-6600 or Cambridge Police at 617-349-3300.
