A Gainesville, Florida resident reports that an unknown suspect broke into his motor vehicle while it was parked overnight on Broadway near Davis Street. The victim reports a hiking backpack was stolen from the vehicle's front seat after a suspect gained access by smashing a door window.

Loss Prevention Officers reported three males had shoplifted from their store and had just taken a motor scooter from the rack on Thorndike Place. Three teenage males were observed entering a store and taking small hand tools from the first floor tool section. The males exited the store, had a brief discussion, then walked over to the bike rack and removed the scooter. The scooter was eventually discovered abandoned at Ames Street.

A Somerville resident reported her motor scooter was stolen from Thorndike Street. The victim locked her motor scooter to a rack on Thorndike Street near First Street at 10:10 a.m. She returned at 6:05 p.m. to find it missing. The victim locked the scooter with more than one lock.
